Guest ID Badging System

The GUEST ID BADGING SYSTEM launches on Thursday, January 10, 2019

For the safety of our patients, families, and staff, we will continue to secure the hospital from8:30 pmto5 am; however, as of Thursday, January 10, 2019, families and guests within the hospitalmustobtain an ID Badge at a front desk entrance during this time.

An overhead announcementwill be made each evening at 8:15 pm to remind families and guests to obtain an ID badge.

Families/guests can obtain an ID at the following Entrances:

Entrance A
Entrance B
Emergency Department Entrance
CHOG Entrance

Badge Information

There are two colorsfor ID Guest Badges that correlate hospital location:

Pediatrics:Blue ID Guest badge

Adult:White ID Guest badge

Badges will show

Individual’s photo
Room Number destination
Date

Badges expire after one evening and must be renewed if staying in the hospital beyond expiration.

Families/guests with proper ID, such as from Ronald McDonald House or the VA, do not need to obtain a Guest ID Badge.

If you see someone without a badge after the hospital is secured for the evening, simply notify security at706-721-2911or assist the individual to a front desk entrance to obtain a badge.

Long-Term Patient Armbands

For families/guests who are with their patient on a long-term basis

Arrangements can be made to obtain an armband at a front desk.
Guestmustpresent an authorized card from their unit at a front desk entrance.
The armband serves as a bypass from having to obtain a daily ID badge.

Children's HospitalBlue Guest Armband

Adult Hospital:Gray Guest Armband

This ID program is part of a comprehensive security program to keep our hospital safe.
