The mission of Augusta University Health Security is to provide exemplary security services through customer service for the AU Health network and its entities and to ensure a safe and secure environment for all patients, visitors and employees. Services include:
- Security observation with unruly/combative patients
- Monitor alarms, such as fire, infant and panic
- Security escorts for staff to and from parking lots before and after shuttle hours
- Security checks for forensic patients and no information patients
- Incident reporting to include criminal activity, damaged property and security concerns reported by patients, visitors and staff
