Direct Loanfunds are provided to students by the Department of Education. These loans may be subsidized or unsubsidized. Once the initial financial aid application process has been completed, you may accept your loan via your POUNCE account. You must sign your Master Promissory Note (atstudentaid.gov) before any loan funds can be sent to Augusta University. Alternative Loansare private loans made through lending institutions which allow students to borrow additional funds after they have reached their federal Direct Loan limit. These types of student loans are designed to help students meet the total cost of higher education. Research all possibilities for scholarships, grants, work study and federal loan programs before borrowing from an Alternative Loan program.
Nursing Student Loans are low-interest federal loans offered to nursing students who have completed two years of study, and demonstrate financial need. Students must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours and have filed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).Obtain an application here.
