Performance Evaluations

We are pleased to announce the 2024 Performance Evaluation period for employees in staff positions at Augusta University.  This year, there are important changes to the Executive and Staff evaluation period and completion timeframe. 

In 2025, Executive and Staff evaluations will move to a January to December evaluation cycle.  This is being done to align with the new evaluation period for Faculty.  The 2024 evaluation period will serve as a transition.  The following outlines the transition plan and completion time frames: 

Previous Process - 2023:

  Annual evaluation for March to February

  • Mid-March- HR emails campus in March announcing process
  • June 30- Signed evaluations due to Human Resources

Transition Plan - 2024: 

  Annual evaluation for March 2023 to December 2023

  • April 30- Self-evaluations due to Manager
  • May 1 to May 31- Manager meets with employee
  • June 1- Signed evaluations due to Human Resources

New Process - 2025:

  Annual evaluation for January 2024 to December 2024

  • January 31- Self-evaluations due to Manager
  • February 1 to February 28- Manager meets with employee
  • March 15- Signed evaluations due to Human Resources

Staff

  • All Staff evaluations are due to Human Resources by June 1, 2024.
  • Evaluations should be completed and signed by the employee and the manager. DocuSign is acceptable.
  • Completed and signed evaluations should scanned and uploaded to the staff evaluation Box account created during the last evaluation cycle. The title of the folder is AU Staff Evaluations (previously titled AU Staff Evaluations 2022 & 2023). Under your specific department folder, please create a "2024 Staff Evaluations" sub-folder to upload your department evaluations.

Executive Leadership

  • All Executive Leadership evaluations are due to Human Resources by June 1, 2024.
  • Each college and department/unit (not associated within a college for example Facilities, GWVNH, GCHC, Institutional Effectiveness, etc.) will have a designated representative for the collection of evaluations that will be granted access to a Box folder.
  • Please send an email to AUHR_Employee_Relations@augusta.eduto identify your college or department/unit representative for collection and uploading of the completed evaluations.
  • Executive leadership evaluations should be uploaded in the AU Staff Evaluations folder for your department by creating a "2024 Executive Leadership Evaluations" sub-folder.
