The Harry Jacobs Chamber Music Society is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring world-class chamber musicians to Augusta, to provide a forum for local musicians through itsHausmusikconcerts, and to educate and inspire young people by taking music into the community.
This year's education outreach will feature trumpeter RODNEY MARSALIS. He will give a free and open to the public presentation on Monday, April 20, 2026 at 5:30PM in the FAC Recital Hall.
Several times a year, as the schedule permits, master classes, mini-performances, lecture-demonstrations, and other outreach activities are provided. Most of them are public events, all are free, and they are announced both in public advertising and at our formal concerts. The music-loving public is cordially invited to attend these educationally stimulating events.
During the 2023 - 2024 season, Boston Brass conducted a master class at the Maxwell Theatre for AU students. The students got to perform for the audience and received feedback from Boston Brass members on their playing, breathing and overall execution of style.
