The Application Process

Interviews

Interviews occur on selected Wednesdays from October to January. We also have an informal dinner the evening before the interview date which provides applicants with an excellent opportunity to meet and interact with some of our current residents. Detailed information regarding the interview process will be provided at the time an interview is offered.

We interview approximately 20 candidates per interview date, with both a morning and afternoon session.

Each interview session includes...

Program HighlightsProgram Highlights / Question & Answer with Residency Leadership
Interviews with FacultyInterviews with Faculty and Residents
Lunch with Residents and Tour Catered Lunch with Residents + Guided Tour of Facilities

Interview Scheduling

For civilian applicants, we accept applications for our training program via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Departmental Leadership reviews the applications and offers interviews based on the overall strength of the candidate's record.

To be considered, you must have completed the ERAS application and meet all deadlines.

Further information on ERAS may be obtained by visiting https://www.aamc.org/services/eras/

Interviews for military applicants are scheduled by contacting the department directly:
