Pamplin Publications

Pamplin College proudly oversees several student-produced publications, including the newspaper The Bell Ringer, the magazine The Phoenix, Sand Hills Literary Magazine, and Yell!, the Women’s and Gender Studies magazine.

The Bell Ringer provides an online platform for student stories and photos, alongside a printed newspaper released several times a year, covering significant events that matter to our student body. The Phoenix invites submissions of essays, commentary, photography, and poetry from all majors, fostering a diverse range of voices. Yell! focuses on student art, writing, and research through social justice lenses, featuring updates on campus events and resources for activism. Since 1973, Sand Hills Literary Magazine has showcased the best in student creative writing and visual art, including alumni work, fostering a rich and diverse range of voices in a variety of genres and mediums.

Together, these publications promote creativity and dialogue within the Augusta University and Greater Augusta communities. Students are encouraged to join our vibrant team, gaining valuable experience and making their voices heard through journalism, creative writing, and advocacy.
