Goals:To help students to perform a number of basic anatomic pathology techniques and apply
clinical judgment commensurate with their medical knowledge.
Objectives: Learn basic diagnosis through surgical and autopsy divisions in pathology.
Activities:
■Perform autopsy and find basic clinical pathologic correlations.
■Participate in processing and examination of surgical pathology and cytology specimens.
■Apply clinical interpretation and medical judgment in such examination.
■Attend conferences and lectures.
Assessment: Evaluation based on the following skills:
■Gross examination of surgical specimens.
■Microscopic examination of slides.
■Case presentation.
■Professionalism and attendance.
Note: An oral presentation is mandatory for performance excellence.
