TheChild Neurology Residency Programat MCG is highly competitive and highly rewarding. Our department accepts one candidate per year. The child neurology clinical faculty consist of Drs. Yong Park, Suzanne Strickland,Elizabeth Sekul, Marleny Aquino Cabrera, Ashleigh Steinmeyer, Clovalyn Jeffrey-McGann. Ourchild neurologydivision has experience providing care in all aspects of child neurology, with a specific emphasis on epilepsy. Many of the faculty are strongly involved in research and resident involvement is encouraged.
Our child neurology residency program is certified by theAmerican Board of Psychiatry and Neurologyand requires students to take:

The PGY-3 yearis primarily adult neurology; during which the resident learns the fundamentals of the clinical neurological examination and diagnosis, and begins to learn the management of neurological disease.

PGY-4/PGY-5 yearsof the residency are primarily dedicated to child neurology. Core rotations include inpatient consult service, inpatient epilepsy monitoring service, ICU service, and outpatient clinics.
