Alumni Spotlight:

"When I first enrolled at Augusta University in 2016, I knew I wanted to do something with computers because I had a love for tech. I started outstudent holding diplomaas a Computer Science major, but after noticing the growth of cybersecurity on a national level, I changed my major to Information Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity and I ended up loving it! My I.T. degree has opened up a lot of job opportunities for me, and the concepts I've learned with the Cybersecurity concentration* have helped me understand the finer details of how certain systems work in my current job. I've been told I'm grasping concepts faster than some seasoned employees and I credit that to the foundation that was set for me at Augusta University."

*The cybersecurity concentration is no longer available for the I.T. program and is now a fully developed degree program, our B.S. in Cybersecurity program. If students pursue an I.T. degree and have an interest in cybersecurity as well, students have the option of adding on acyber defender or advanced cyber defender certificate.
